Best Wine Bars
Barcelona's wine bar scene runs on two tracks. The first is natural wine — low-intervention, often orange, poured in rooms where the labels are explained without condescension and the snacks are serious enough to make a meal. The second is the traditional celler: old-school cellars and bodegas in Gràcia and El Raval that have been pouring vermouth and house wine since before natural wine was a concept. Both tracks are genuinely excellent. What the best rooms on this list share is a sense that the wine came first — the room, the food, and the atmosphere organised themselves around it. That ordering tends to produce better results than the alternative.
