Bocanariz is a small wine bar tucked into Carrer de Vallfogona in Gràcia, and it operates on a premise so simple it shouldn't feel this rare: take wine seriously, and build the food around it. Forty-plus references by the glass rotate through a list heavy on small Catalan and Spanish producers, with a strong natural-wine backbone. The plates are designed to complement rather than compete — jamón ibérico, good cheeses, anchoas, a short list of hot tapas that punch cleanly without demanding attention. The Orange Hour between 19h and 20h throws in a free tapa with your glass, a civilised ritual that sets the tone. Vinyl records spin in the background, the room is barely bigger than a living room, and the staff actually know what they're pouring. For wine-first dining in Gràcia without the performative solemnity of a proper sommelier's bar, Bocanariz is among the neighbourhood's quiet essentials.
