Japanese-Catalan Fusion Tapas · Eixample, Barcelona · €€€
Chef Adelf Morales fuses Japanese technique with Catalan soul in a tight 30-seat Eixample tapas room. Ambitious small plates, killer lunch deal.
The Delekta Review
A compact 30-seater in the Eixample where chef Adelf Morales channels time spent in Michelin kitchens across Spain, Italy, and Japan into a tapas-forward menu that genuinely surprises. The octopus with Japanese radish marinade and the scallop-oyster-guacamole tartar show real ambition, while earthier plates like cap-i-pota and stewed rabbit with yogurt sauce keep things grounded. The fusion concept can feel restless — stir-fried rice noodles with Thai sauce sit next to artichoke with foie and ceps — but when it lands, it lands beautifully. The bar seating is ideal for solo dining, and the lunch menu at its price point is a genuine steal for cooking of this calibre. Worth going with an open mind and an empty stomach.
