Awards: Michelin Selection

Jordi Vilà's (Alkimia, 2021 National Gastronomy Prize) Bib Gourmand garden oasis since 2009, serving refined seasonal Catalan cuisine — croquetes, faves a la catalana, mollejas — in a hidden courtyard of ivy, palms, and camellias.

The Delekta Review

Vivanda is chef Jordi Vilà's gentler project — the man behind starred Alkimia choosing, for this one, to cook something less formal. Set on Carrer Major de Sarrià in what was historically a village outside Barcelona, the draw is the enclosed garden terrace: surrounded by ivy, palms and camellias, it genuinely feels like dining in a private hort. The cooking is seasonal Catalan, market-driven, tasting menus around 55–70€. Vilà's register here is refined without being fussy — elevated croquetes, faves a la catalana, arrossos de temporada, vegetable preparations that quietly show the years of precision he brought over from Alkimia. Bib Gourmand since 2009. The neighbourhood itself supplies a village calm that almost no restaurant inside the Eixample ring can match. Reservations essential for the small terrace. A chef at the top of his game choosing to cook something gentler — and doing it beautifully, which is harder than it sounds.
