The Delekta Review

Taberna Nardi opened in January 2026 in El Born and immediately drew a level of Barcelona food-press attention that new openings rarely clear. The write-ups settled on the same line: a seafood-focused tavern that keeps things simple — quality product, minimal fuss, and the kind of relaxed confidence that comes from knowing the ingredients don't need much help. The aesthetic on Carrer dels Corders is a deliberate fish-market update — red stools, a glass display case of the morning's catch, bright-white tile with the daily specials scribbled across it in marker, a rowdy energy closer to the lotja than to a white-tablecloth seafood restaurant. Navalles, musclos with parsley beurre blanc, char-grilled red tuna neck, gamba roja and carabinero straight from the counter. The restaurant comes from the Amicks group (behind Maleducat, Sr. Antúnez, V de Vermut), which means the hospitality chassis is solid from day one. The track record is still short — it's only a few months in. But in a corner of El Born where mediocre seafood at tourist pricing is the neighbourhood default, Nardi is a welcome correction.
