The Delekta Review

Manel Forés is celiac and his partner is vegan — they built Pötstot out of their own dietary lives. The first room opened at Carrer de València 204 in February 2024 with co-owner Quim Viñas; chef Guillem Corral signs the menu. The kitchen is 100% certified gluten-free (no wheat enters the building) and entirely plant-based — not parallel-menu vegan, structurally vegan — and the cooking is familiar Catalan-Mediterranean rather than novelty plant-based: croquetes, canelons, paellas, sobrasadas. In April 2025 they took on the L'Hortet space at Pintor Fortuny 32 in the Raval — L'Hortet had closed in January after thirty-five years under Odina and Sonia Martí — and reopened it as the Raval branch, keeping the wooden shutters and the recovered tables from the inherited room. Spring 2026 brought the Repsol Solete at both addresses. Time Out and Ara both filed on the opening; Hule y Mantel followed up with the Solete announcement.

What works

A 100% certified gluten-free, structurally vegan kitchen — not a parallel menu, not a restriction concession — cooking familiar Catalan-Mediterranean (croquetes, canelons, paellas, sobrasadas) rather than novelty plant-based. Founder Manel Forés is celiac and his partner is vegan; Pötstot is built out of how they actually eat. Chef Guillem Corral signs both rooms. The Raval branch took on the 35-year L'Hortet space at Pintor Fortuny 32 in April 2025 and kept the inherited shutters and tables — continuity over reset. Spring 2026 Repsol Solete at both addresses. Time Out, Ara and Hule y Mantel all filed.

Before you go

Vegan + gluten-free is the whole project — omnivores expecting meat or wheat should set expectations going in, though both Time Out and Ara stressed that non-restricted diners enjoy it equally. Brand operates two near-identical sites (Eixample at Carrer de València 204 and this Raval one) — the menu and team are the same, so the choice between them is geography. No lunch menú del día (unlike the L'Hortet that preceded it); pricing is à la carte at around €25–€30 per head. Heavier critics — La Vanguardia, El Periódico, Macarfi, 7 Caníbales — haven't filed yet.
