Can Fisher
Seafood & Paella · Poblenou, Barcelona · €€€
One of Barcelona's best spots for paella according to multiple local food bloggers. Fresh seafood in Barceloneta without the tourist trap pricing.
The Delekta Review
Seafront Barceloneta restaurant where rice is the real reason to book. Fideuà, arròs negre and a paella marinera cooked with proper socarrat — honest cooking that avoids the tourist-trap pricing that plagues this stretch of Passeig Marítim. The terrace looks straight at the water, the fish moves in from the nearby port daily, and portions feel generous for the address. The volume of diners means the experience varies a little day to day, and a few critics point to the waterfront premium in the bill. But on a well-timed lunch — sun out, wind off the sea, a cold vermut on the table — Can Fisher delivers the Mediterranean cliché in its better form. One of the few Barceloneta rice kitchens that locals still mention without eye-rolling.
