Nuara
Paella & Mediterranean · Port Olímpic, Barcelona · €€€
Standout paella in a posh space near the Olympic port.
The Delekta Review
Nuara occupies a polished space at Moll de Gregal in Port Olímpic — an address that historically screams tourist trap, but Nuara sits genuinely above its neighbours. The paella is the draw: proper socarrat, quality seafood from Mediterranean boats, served in the pan as it should be. Arroz a banda, black rice with squid ink, arroz caldoso — the rice program runs deep and the technique is sound. The rest of the menu is Mediterranean with occasional creative touches. Prices match the setting — this is not cheap — but for rice cooked at this level in this neighbourhood, the maths work. The terrace and the view come included; what you're paying for is a kitchen that takes rice seriously on a strip where most don't.
