Vermuteria Lou

Vermouth Bar · Gràcia, Barcelona · €

Open since 2009

Lourdes — 'Lou' for short — opened her Gràcia vermuteria around 2009 in what had been El Rebost Ibèric and then a neighborhood charcuterie. The vermut comes well-poured, the tapas list runs hot and Iberian, and the room stays unfussy in a way the trendier vermuterias don't manage.

The Delekta Review

Vermut bar with hot tapas — Iberian-leaning rather than the conservas-and-olives standard Owner-operator emphasizes quality ingredients at accessible prices over formal training

Owner Lourdes — 'Lou' — has run the bar for over a decade The space was previously El Rebost Ibèric (restaurant), then a charcuterie

Huevos estrellados with jamón and foie gras — the house standout Ham sandwich made with Joselito ibérico de bellota aged three years Callos — Iberian-style tripe stew Patatas bravas

Small Gràcia neighborhood bar on Carrer de l'Escorial near Joanic L4 — bottles on the shelves, food on the counter, room small enough that everyone can see both
