Vermouth Bar · Sant Antoni, Barcelona · €€

Open since 2015

A vermut bar from the founders of a 2007 blog about authentic bars — house-made vermouth in distinctive brass tins, several Barcelona locations. The signature snack of potato chips with marinated mussels, anchovies, olives and Basque peppers captures the anorak-vermut sensibility.

The Delekta Review

Vermut hour done seriously: house-made vermouths plus small beers and curated snacks. Concrete + fluorescent industrial-minimalist room with shelves of branded vermouth tins.

Started as a blog in 2007 documenting authentic bars; three friends opened the first physical location and launched their own vermouth product line in 2012. Has since expanded to multiple Barcelona locations.

Signature snack: potato chips layered with marinated mussels, anchovies, olives, and spicy Basque peppers. Bombas (€3.80), croquetas (€1.90), broqueta matrimoni (anchovy, olives, mushroom), pa amb tomàquet with Cantabrian anchovies (€8.90), secreto ibérico sandwich.

Minimalist industrial: concrete walls, fluorescent lighting, shelves of brass-tin vermouth packaging — small room (~15 indoors) plus outdoor seats.

Original Sant Antoni location at Carrer del Consell de Cent 171; multiple locations across Barcelona; budget-friendly.
