Open since 1899

An 1899 modernist tapas bar in Sant Antoni, reborn under a team led by Tomàs Abellan — son of chef Carles Abellan. Truffle tortilla, Cantabrian anchovy gilda, Abellan-style bikini, natural wines by the glass.

The Delekta Review

Catalan tapas with classics on lock and seasonal creations on a blackboard rotation. Sommelier-led natural-wine program by the glass; vermouth culture central to the room.

Opened 1899; recently taken over by a team led by Tomàs Abellan, son of chef Carles Abellan, who has refreshed the kitchen without erasing the bones. The Carles Abellan-inspired bikini (Iberian ham, cheese, truffle) is the menu's clearest signature lineage to the family kitchen.

Truffle tortilla, Cantabrian anchovy gilda, ham-cheese-truffle bikini, smoked albacore tuna with ajoblanco and grapes. Steak tartare with avocado; sweetbread with demi glacé and pumpkin purée; La Viña-style cheesecake; chocolate ganache on toast with olive oil and sea salt. Spicy patatas bravas for the casual round.

Modernist bones intact: tile work, wood fixtures, multiple levels (upstairs, downstairs, sidewalk terrace).

Carrer del Comte Borrell 133, Sant Antoni; reservations via the website; the terrace is the seat to angle for.
