Bar Seco

Tapas & Vermouth · Poble Sec, Barcelona · €

Lively Poble Sec tapas bar. Creative pintxos, craft beers, and a buzzy local crowd. Part of the Carrer de Blai ecosystem but with more substance than most of its neighbours.

The Delekta Review

Bar Seco is a Slow Food pioneer on one of Poble Sec's prettier and less glamorous plaças, channelling the neighbourhood's vermut-soaked soul while quietly advocating for organic farming. Organic patates braves with creative aïolis, thoughtfully made organic burgers (meat and vegetarian), and a broader commitment to local sourcing mean every bite carries intent without the kitchen preaching about it. The terrace outside is one of the quiet pleasures of the barri. The cocktails — this is the surprise — are inventive and properly balanced, crafted with more care than most dedicated cocktail bars manage, which makes Bar Seco one of those rare spots where dinner slides into drinks without changing venues. Small plates are designed to pair with both. The crowd is mostly local, the staff is genuinely friendly, and prices stay fair for the ingredient quality. Essential Poble Sec for anyone after real energy rather than Instagram bait. Part of the Carrer de Blai ecosystem, but with considerably more substance than most of its neighbours on that strip.
