Sagarra

Catalan / Bodega · El Raval, Barcelona · €€

Open since 2023

Grup Confitería — Lito Baldovinos and Enric Rebordosa's heritage-bar group (La Confiteria, Paradiso, Bar Muy Buenas, El Maravillas, Mundial Bar) — reopened the Pintor Fortuny × Xuclà corner in El Raval in November 2025 as Sagarra, restoring the bodega that ran here from the 1970s until pandemic closure.

The Delekta Review

Catalan tapas-bar register — short carte of canapés, tapas, charcuterie and a handful of larger plates; daily continuous service from noon, average ticket €20–€30, most plates under €15 Heritage-bar revival template — Grup Confitería's signature move: take a shuttered historic Barcelona address, restore it period-faithful, run a modernised but respectful kitchen on top Vermouth, wine and beer at working-bar prices; the seventies neighbourhood-bar identity is the spine, the food is the headline

Xistorra del Sagarra con yema — house signature chistorra with egg yolk, named after the restaurant Buñuelo grande de bacalao con alioli — the oversized cod fritter, a recurring talking-point across the opening press Lubina con suquet de carne — sea bass over a meat suquet, the mar-i-muntanya logic at €15-ish ticket Canelón rustido and mollete de kokotxas al pil pil; canapés of white-prawn tartare and smoked-cod foam Txuleta de vaca vieja 500g and pluma ibérica for the larger-format end of the carte; classic supports — ensaladilla rusa, bravas, croquetas, longaniza de Cal Rovira Desserts in seventies-bar register — chocolate mousse, crema catalana, arroz con leche, pudding de la casa

Original Bodega Segarra ran here from the 1970s under Àlex Segarra and Isabel Pressegué until pandemic closure in November 2020; the space briefly hosted Sergi de Meià's Banquet from June 2023 through summer 2024, then sat empty Grup Confitería — Lito Baldovinos and Enric Rebordosa, twenty-plus venues over roughly a decade (La Confitería, Paradiso, Bar Muy Buenas, El Maravillas, Mundial Bar, La Font del Gat, Monk, El Cafè del Centre 1873, Betlem, Focacha) — took on the room and reopened it in November 2025 as Sagarra No individual head chef has been named in press coverage — the kitchen is identified as a Grup Confitería operation; original recipes from the legacy Sagarra are reportedly preserved

Corner room at Pintor Fortuny × Xuclà, fronting a small Raval plaza — Pichiglas Studio kept the original aluminium-and-ceramic bar, warm seventies tones, large street-facing windows for natural light Heritage-bar register — closely-spaced tables, working-bar pace, mixed neighbourhood crowd; this is a tapas counter restored to function, not a designed scene

Address: Carrer d'en Xuclà 9 (corner with Pintor Fortuny), El Raval — three minutes from L3 Liceu, six from L1/L2/L3 Catalunya Service daily 12:00–24:00 continuous; Fri and Sat until 01:00 — no siesta gap, drop-in works at off-peak hours Reservations via Restoo at sagarra.myrestoo.net or by phone +34 934 30 11 76; corner location off La Rambla means the room can fill on weekends and tourist evenings
