The bodega format keeps things refreshingly simple: stand at the bar or claim one of the few small tables, order what looks good, drink something cold. Joselito charcuterie is the anchor on the meat side; the vermouth and wine selection runs deeper than the unpretentious setting suggests. Prices are reasonable for El Born, which is faint praise but genuinely meant — the neighborhood has seen its share of bodegas converted into expensive approximations of themselves. The location on a quiet street near Santa Maria del Mar makes it a welcome escape from the tourist currents on the main arteries.
