Carme Ruscalleda's all-day kitchen inside the Mandarin Oriental on Passeig de Gràcia — Catalan tradition driven by technique, served in an all-white room with an open fire-lit kitchen as its centerpiece.

The Delekta Review

Blanc is the accessible counterpart to Moments — Carme Ruscalleda's two-Michelin-star room in the same hotel — and the kitchen carries the same precision without the tasting-menu apparatus. The tomato velouté with beetroot and fresh cheese sets the visual register early: composed, local, unshowy. The Fricandó beef ragout with wild mushrooms is the anchor — slow, deep, unapologetically Catalan. Roasted Iberian pork lands sweet and smoky with apple and piquillo. The Crema Catalana keeps a citrus edge that drags it out of obligation territory. Lunch at €36, dinner at €59 — for a Mandarin Oriental dining room driven by a chef with seven Michelin stars to her career, that is essentially a public-service price.
