Best Terraces
Barcelona's dining terraces work best in spring and early autumn, when the Eixample's wide pavements warm in the afternoon and the evening stays light until ten. This collection filters for food quality first — a terrace without a kitchen to back it does not qualify. The best outdoor tables in the city are rarely the obvious ones on the Barceloneta seafront; they tend to be courtyard gardens in the Gòtic, pavement terraces on quieter Eixample streets, or rooftop rooms designed for a meal rather than a drink. Reserve ahead in April and May — the best terraces in Barcelona fill the moment the forecast holds.
