Awards: 1 Sol Repsol · Michelin Selection

Open since 2016

An Ebro Delta tasting-menu restaurant in the Ohla Eixample hotel — rice and seafood from the López family's Terres de l'Ebre. Held a Michelin star 2016–2024; chef José Guadalupe leads the kitchen now, with three tasting menus (€55–€115) and a €55 weekday lunch.

The Delekta Review

Three tasting menus: seasonal (€55), territory-focused (€80), premium product (€115); weekday lunch also €55 with wine and water included. Cuisine philosophy: 'el producte' first — Ebro Delta primary ingredients without spherifications, 90%+ sourced from the family's Terres de l'Ebre region.

The López family runs a 4th-generation restaurant dynasty rooted at Villa Retiro hotel in Xerta (Ebro Delta); Joaquim López directs the Barcelona room. Brother Fran López heads the kitchen at Villa Retiro, the family's Delta flagship; current chef at Xerta Barcelona is José Guadalupe. Held a Michelin star from 2016 (year of opening) until 2024, when the star was withdrawn for undisclosed reasons; the kitchen and product focus are unchanged.

Blue crab cannelloni with langoustine cream and soy-ginger pilpil — the kitchen's bridge dish, leaving strict Delta regionalism for a moment. Robata-grilled fish with zucchini and pear (glazed with fish and pear demi-glace); rice courses with theatrical presentation. Delta core: galeres, shrimp, peix de llotja, canyuts (razor clams), arrossos.

Cream-colored room wrapped in a garden-like atrium inside the Ohla Eixample; tasting-menu pacing rather than walk-in tapas.

Carrer de Còrsega 289 (Ohla Eixample hotel), Eixample; reservations via the website.
