Roig Robí has been delivering refined Catalan cuisine in Gràcia since 1986 and is arguably still the owner of the most beautiful restaurant garden in Barcelona — a hidden interior terrace surrounded by climbing plants and dappled light that feels entirely removed from the city outside. The menu is classic Catalan elevated to fine dining: seasonal game in autumn, wild mushrooms when they arrive, traditional rice dishes cooked with authority, and a wine list that goes deep into Catalan and Spanish labels with occasional French digressions. The garden is the centrepiece — and for Sunday lunch especially, the combination of considered Catalan cooking and this setting creates something genuinely special. The clientele is Barcelona's old guard: families celebrating occasions, well-heeled regulars, guests who value tradition over novelty and dress accordingly. Prices sit at €€€€ — fine dining territory — and the cooking is consistently excellent if not groundbreaking. Roig Robí doesn't chase trends. It doesn't need to.
