Mama opened on Paral·lel in 2016 and quietly became the best-value Neapolitan in Barcelona - margheritas from 5.99 that don't cut corners on buffalo mozzarella or San Marzano. Owners Michele Martino and Francesco Schiavone run a contemporary Neapolitan programme: light, airy cornicione, digestible base, stone oven. At Pizzas Fest 2024 the public voted their burrata-and-truffle pizza the city's favourite, pipping jury-winner Madre Lievito. The dining room is small and often full - reserve or expect to wait. The mortadella and pistachio is the showstopper; the margherita is the honest-work benchmark.
