Leña Barcelona

Grill / Steakhouse · Les Corts, Barcelona · €€€

Dani García's grill-driven restaurant in the Grand Hyatt Barcelona, opened December 2024. Brasas, seven cuts of meat, signature burger, Catalan-leaning ingredients. Pius XII square, near Camp Nou.

The Delekta Review

García took his time getting to Barcelona, citing the city's seriousness about product, and the menu reflects that — canelones, espardenyes, and croquetas de butifarra de perol alongside the signature grilled avocado and the burger that once sat on a three-star carte, all unified by brasas. The weekday lunch at €29 makes it reachable. The dessert in a black rose box is the theatrical and gustatory peak — the most convincing thing on the table. The kitchen is not yet consistent: tartar arrives over-seasoned on burnt toast, the aged meat — supposed centrepiece — has been merely correct and pools unattractively, and butifarra croquetas land unremarkable. Service is warm and polished. At 70-plus euros a head for dinner, that inconsistency is a real problem the ambition has yet to resolve.
