Bangkok Café

Thai · Les Corts, Barcelona · €€

Bangkok Café is a small pearl of authentic Thai cuisine hidden within Passatge de Tubella, a marvel of early 20th-century Barcelona architecture. With fewer than 10 tables and exceptional demand from Barcelona's expat community and serious food enthusiasts, it ranks among the best Thai restaurants in Europe. The kitchen faithfully recreates the ordered chaos of Bangkok street food while maintaining rigorous attention to Thai flavor profiles—salty, spicy, sour, and sweet in perfect balance. House

The Delekta Review

Bangkok Café hides inside Passatge de Tubella in Les Corts — a 20th-century covered passage that's already worth the walk before you account for what's at the end of it. Fewer than ten tables, demand from Barcelona's expat and serious-eater crowds that consistently outruns supply, and a kitchen that keeps Thailand's foundational flavour logic intact: salty, sour, spicy, sweet in the proportions the dish actually calls for rather than the ones toned down for European palates. Green curry, som tam with genuine heat, pad thai made the way it's supposed to be made, laab with the right amount of roasted rice powder. The menu is short, which reads as confidence rather than limitation. Service is efficient, prices sit in the moderate range for the quality, and the room fills early for dinner. Book ahead, order at real spice levels when asked, and treat the passage as part of the meal.
