The Delekta Review

Casa Pepi wears its influences proudly: kitsch décor pulled from Almodóvar's Pepi, Luci, Bom y otras chicas del montón, and a menu that reads as unapologetically traditional. The bomba follows the classic Barceloneta recipe but adds crunchy pine nuts, making it distinctly its own. The Iberian presa arrives medium rare and impossibly tender, set on just-salty-enough potatoes alongside black morcilla — a combination that punches above the price point. The wider menu runs into Spanish comfort: callos, bacalao con sanfaina, tortilla abierta with morcilla and piñones. The calçot menu at €28 is a steal, and cava opens at €4.50 a glass. The room channels Almodóvar hard — patterned tiles, photographs, an interior patio out of another century. Loud, warm, and for once the sentiment is earned.
