Vai Moana refuses to coast on location — the house-made chocolate truffles, the arroz del señorito, and the croquetas de asado y trufa all signal a kitchen with genuine ambition, not beach-bar complacency. Fish comes directly from the lonja, ingredients skew organic, and the fritura de calamar and mussels taste like it. The cocktails are large and elaborate, with virgin options that get equal care. Sitting at Bogatell rather than near the W hotel keeps the crowd human-scale, the service friendly, and the sunset views unobstructed. Come nightfall, music replaces calm and the sand fills with people dancing — a full pivot that works because the food earlier in the day was worth staying for. Busy days do get busy; arrive early or lean into the evening energy.
