Thoughtful vegetarian restaurant. Applies the intelligence of a serious restaurant to vegetables. Impressive natural wine list. The best vegetarian option in Barcelona.
The Delekta Review
Rasoterra in the Gothic Quarter is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant built on Slow Food principles — organic, local, seasonal, and treated with the intelligence of a serious kitchen. The natural wine list is among the best in the vegetarian dining world. The menu changes with the seasons, sourcing from small Catalan producers. The cooking avoids the trap that catches many vegetarian restaurants — being earnest but boring. Here, vegetables are the main event, not a compromise: creative preparations that give a beetroot or a squash the kind of attention usually reserved for proteins. The Gothic Quarter setting is charming — a small, intimate space with a warm atmosphere. Prices are moderate. Not an afterthought, but the main event — one of Barcelona's most serious vegetarian restaurants and one of the few that earned Michelin's attention with plants alone.
