El Green Spot

Bright, modern vegetarian restaurant in El Born. Creative plant-based dishes in a stylish setting. Part of the Tragaluz group but with its own identity.

The Delekta Review

El Green Spot near Parc de la Ciutadella is the Tragaluz group's vegetarian restaurant, designed by Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld — a long oak-lined corridor opening into an elegant wooden dining room that feels more like a Scandinavian hotel lobby than a plant-based eatery. The philosophy stated plainly on the wall: veggie for veggies, veggie for non-veggies. The menu delivers on that promise. Black-carbon pizza, sweet-potato tagliatelle with macadamia sauce and black truffle, kohlrabi carpaccio with spirulina and tamarind vinaigrette, avocado-kimchi quesadillas. Entrees 9,75–16,50€, average 25–30€ per head. Live music Tuesdays and Thursdays. A second location has opened near L'Illa Diagonal. Some locals consistently flag the pricing as high for vegetarian cooking — which it is, measured against the neighbourhood baseline. But the quality of produce, the creative range, and the design make it one of the few plant-based rooms in Barcelona that meat-eaters actually choose rather than tolerate.
