Seasonal tasting menus with precise, clean flavours. Intimate dining room.
The Delekta Review
Nectari, in the Eixample, has held its Michelin star for years — chef Jordi Esteve's creative Mediterranean cooking that draws on his travels without losing its Catalan roots. The small room seats just a few dozen, which gives an intimacy many starred restaurants sacrifice for volume. Esteve is a well-travelled chef whose global experience is felt directly on the plate — traces of Asian technique appear alongside Catalan tradition. The tasting menu (around €75-95) changes with the seasons. The wine programme is strong. Prices are significant but sit below many starred competitors, which makes Nectari one of the better-value Michelin stars in Barcelona. A quietly excellent restaurant that doesn't chase the spotlight — which is precisely why it earns it.
