Kamikaze

Japanese Omakase · Eixample, Barcelona · €€€€

Awards: ★ Michelin

Newly Michelin-starred in 2026. Japanese omakase counter. Intimate, precise, exceptional fish. One of Barcelona's newest starred additions.

The Delekta Review

Kamikaze earned its first Michelin star in the 2026 guide — fitting for a restaurant whose name means divine wind in Japanese. Chefs Enric Buendía and Aristide Ribalta both trained at Disfrutar (Buendía also at Mugaritz), and that pedigree shows in every course. The single seasonal tasting menu runs 85 euros — one of the cheapest Michelin-starred meals in Barcelona. The cooking revisits Asian cuisine, especially Japanese, through a Mediterranean and Catalan lens. The roasted garlic empanada, the umeboshi mackerel, and the Peking mushroom — osmotised in a Chinese-style marinade — show a kitchen that moves fluidly between traditions without losing coherence. The Pandang shrimp is another standout. Scores reflect a restaurant still building its audience. But at 85 euros for a Michelin star from Disfrutar alumni, the value proposition is hard to argue with. For diners who love creative Asian cooking and do not want to spend 200 euros to find it, this is the one to book.
