Ca La Nuri has outlasted every trend the Barcelona waterfront has thrown at it, and the food is what keeps it there. The arroz de pulpo y butifarra ibérica, finished with tirabeques and an alioli de pimentón, is the anchor — the kind of rice that justifies Barcelona's claim to a rice culture. The rodaballo a la brasa and alcachofas fritas round out a kitchen that works from what the market offers rather than what a concept demands. The scene is unambiguously beachfront — Mediterranean views, unhurried pace, tables facing the water — and the cooking matches without apologising for it. No open-kitchen spectacle, no gastro-posturing; just consistent, well-sourced seafood done by people whose family has been at this since 1962. On a Pg.
