Forty years of neighbourhood cooking in Sant Martí, and it shows. Los Pajaritos runs a menú del día under 20€ with wine that is genuinely one of the better deals in this corner of the city: a clean fish soup, properly fried calamari, merluza cooked without drama, bread and a decent house red. The à la carte climbs and can feel uneven for what it charges, so stick to the menú or the daily specials. Small room, loyal regulars, the kind of carrer de barri atmosphere that Barcelona is quietly losing. Not trying to impress anyone — which is exactly why it still works.
