The Delekta Review

Arko on Carrer d'Enric Granados serves Japanese-Brazilian Nikkei sushi from chef Rafael Erbs, whose CV runs through Pakta, Enigma, and Moments before landing here. The room is a production in itself: an aquarium entrance, cherry blossom trees inside, and a precision that signals the ambition from the moment you sit down. The Koshihikari rice is seasoned with aged red vinegar — a detail most sushi counters don't bother with, and one you can taste. Wagyu rolls and truffle nigiri are the signature hits; the Nikkei influence shows in ají amarillo and leche de tigre sliding into otherwise orthodox sushi. The omakase runs 19 pieces. Prices are high and service can tighten when the room fills, but the cooking itself is a serious aspirant to the best sushi in the city. If Barcelona gets a Michelin-starred Nikkei sushi room in the next cycle, this is where it comes from.
