Viblioteca opened in 2008 on Carrer de Vallirana in Gràcia, and the name tells you most of what you need to know — vi plus biblioteca, a library of wine assembled by sommelier Yolanda Villegas around a hyper-specific premise: small cellars, small production, low-intervention winemaking with genuine personality. The list rotates constantly, but the rule doesn't. Alongside the wine runs a parallel collection of more than sixty raw-milk cheeses from small European producers, served on personalised platters with quince paste, walnut bread, and whatever Villegas thinks will flatter what you're drinking. The bikinis and tuna tartare are understated standouts. The all-white room is tiny and concentrated, the staff properly knowledgeable — ask for a recommendation and you get one, not a script. Portions are modest and the bill can climb, but for wine and cheese treated with this much care, the premium is easy to justify. A quiet essential of Gràcia.
