Located on iconic Plaça d'Osca, this vermuteria features one of Barcelona's best homemade vermouths. Vintage interior décor with black-and-white portraits and wine barrels complement authentic Catalan tapas.

The Delekta Review

On the Plaça d'Osca, Vermut i a la Gàbia captures what Barcelona means by vermouth culture: a homemade vermut that is genuinely excellent — crisp, balanced, properly bitter — served cold with good olives on a spacious terrace made for lingering. Inside, vintage portraits, coloured jars, and wine-barrel shelving carry the style without forcing it. The tapes stay honest: pinchos around 1,90€, croquetes at 1,50€ for two, escalivada, a few hot dishes at 7-8€. Prices remarkably fair. Service is easy-going and knows the drink list cold. The name is a Catalan expression meaning something close to 'and enough chatter' — fitting for a plaça where the only real plan is sitting down, pouring another, and watching the square go by.
