The Delekta Review

Counter-service British fish and chips with Pakistani-influenced condiments. No reservations. Continuous service. Fish options (hake, calamari, cocochas), snacks, and sides.

Hake (merluza de palangre) in smoked chestnut-rosemary tempura with four-spice chips, tartar sauce, and mango chutney (€8); tempura cocochas (cod throats); calamari (€8); truffled edamame (€4.50); breaded padrón peppers; boquerones.

A narrow corner space on Rocafort at Gran Via, painted dark green, with a bar counter that doubles as the frying station — the fish is cut and battered in front of you. Two tables, a handful of stools. Neighbourhood regulars alongside visitors who've done their research.

Founded 2015 by brothers Magid and Mani Alam, Pakistani-born and Barcelona-raised since 1996. They also run Baby Jalebi Punjab Street Food. The Fish & Chips Shop has since grown to seven locations across the city.
