Casa Fiero
Catalan Diner · Eixample, Barcelona · €€€
1970s Catalan diner throwback from the Maleducat team. Takes the city's current grandma food trend to maximum effect— Comfort Catalan done right.
The Delekta Review
Víctor Ródenas made his name at Maleducat — the Sant Antoni hit known for bold, hedonistic Catalan cooking. Casa Fiero, opened in summer 2025 in the Eixample, is the more mature sibling, pitched as the new safe bet in the form of macaroni, grilled meat and noodles in a casserole dish. The signature dishes already feel like classics: fried eggs with prawns, pancetta and Espelette pepper; fideos a la cazuela with cod, boneless chicken wings and botifarra. The interior, designed by Cristina Carulla Studio, earned a feature in its own right for its layered take on memory and style. At an average of around €35, most diners find the value strong. More nostalgic than merely classic, in the best sense — cooking aimed squarely at how Catalans actually want to eat today.
