Plaça d'Ibèria restaurant where Pep Bielsa's Catalan childhood meets chef Samuele Lastrucci's Florentine training — Catalan-Italian fusion across three threads (Italian, Catalan, Mediterranean) on a coveted terrace.

The Delekta Review

Catalan-Italian-Mediterranean fusion: traditional bases reworked with contemporary touches and quality local sourcing. Set lunch menu under €15 (starter, main, dessert); Thursday rice dishes, Friday fideuà; ~€35 evening average.

Owner Pep Bielsa is from L'Hospitalet de l'Infant on the Tarragona coast; he studied history in Naples and built the menu around the threads he found between Italian, Catalan and Mediterranean cooking. Chef Samuele Lastrucci, a Florence native, runs the kitchen. Opened 2018 in the former Bodega Floren space; the 'Violí' name comes from a violin-playing busker who used to live in the square.

Confit artichokes with black truffle and Manchego cheese sauce; prawn rolls with goat cheese and basil emulsion; lamb-stuffed buns with caramelized onion and kimchi. Tuna tataki with ajoblanco, grapes and plums; herb-smoked beef filet cubes; duck cannelloni with truffle and mushroom; creamy rice with red shrimp.

A coveted terrace on Plaça d'Ibèria, one of Sants's prettiest squares.
